The front of the truck would be towards your left in this picture. The "notch" on the far side will be for the spur gear armor.



Bottom view. This shows the relief cut for the side skirt mounts and the machining to maintain strength under the battery but still providing structure.

eh chip,
I really like the design above and even though its not going to be holding the battery down, i am thinking it still needs to scream bullet proof. What about a smoothed out version of this. I like the way the top is more than the bottom so cut it off in the middle, duplicate the top, and then replace the bottom with that section. (does that make sense?) If not i can transfer it to a laptop with photoshop and do it.
Maybe pull the edges in some more so make the X tighter. Of course you would have to revisit the top plate design but i am sure some creative things could be done with that.

When is the final decision on this? I can dedicate more time to it with photoshop tommorow afternoon.
