Default drifter......................................TC4

hello,
was on the same boat bout' 3-4 months ago, told myself to find an entry level drifter and go from there. Save yourself the headache and get a TC4 or similar...fleabay always has some, found a Team Edition NIB for $85. Went with a brushless but a stock esc/motor will suffice. Stay way from the E10. By-the-time you get it decent your gonna be out a few $$, and still won't be close to a decent drifter. Look for a shaft driven car with good weight balance....just my experience. I'm on my 5th TC4. Good Luck

I bought one of these a while back, it's one of the funnest cars I have. It's held up really well.

You can get it with or without electronics.

The e10 is fine I think it was super easy to drift and control. For me I sold it cause I just wanted something else. I use a TL-01 its still very easy to drive and you can get um for dirt on ebay used. Iv'e been looking at some belts next.

I think Im going to get the tt01. Im getting the kit version since i have a radio and servo to put in it. Should i get the regular kit tt01 or the drift kit tt01? The drift kit one is actually a few dollars cheaper. Im leaning towards the subaru imprezza. Whatcha guys think?

Wat about this one I just found:
http://www.rc-tradingpost.com/7427-e...catracing.html

or this? I had a sportwerks mayhem buggy and it was a good buggy
This isnt the lowest price i found, this site just had the video and everything right there

Wow, some really bad advise in here........

Please what ever you do, do not get a TC4, 3, 5 or anything else AE. They just suck at drifting.

Do not get an E10. Peice of crap. Almost no support for it(hop-ups, 1-way).

Although they are discontinued, TL-01's are the best bang for the buck. Actually they still make a different version, but not really speced for drifting. You can find them cheap almost anywhere.

If you want new, I'd say go with the TT-01 drift spec. It'll save you a few bucs because it already comes with drift tires, whereas the other will come with rubber slicks.

If your parents are footing the bill & you want something really good, a Team Magic E4 or a HPI Pro-D are the way to go.

go with tamiya's tt-01 tub chassis, and lock the back dif. You're gonna want a 17t motor or around there for torque and speed. I'm currently running a tt-01 with lrp quantum runner reverse plus, 17t flash modified, pvc tires, and locked diffs. This thing is an awesome drifter
