just picked up a body, a set of MSR9 shocks and some thin sheet aluminum last night. A rolling chassis should be on the way :-P

I'm thinking of nixing the sheet sides and making up a tube rear for it though....your thoughts?

Edit: what wheels are those on there. the issue im having is finding a set of four matching wheels that work with the 12mm hex of the king axles, and the dual bearings of the T4 front.

also, did anyone ever find out what the gearing was on these things? or what its speed range was?

Do the original posters/ builders even look at this thread anymore :(

"69 spur 39 pinion on a veileon and a 3s 25c lipo you can only run this gearing on a low Kv motor none of the castles will run this" thats what he told me over youtube and he uses hpi wheels they come with axle mount and 12mm hex

you could just get a smaller pinion or sell just the motor and buy the vxl motor for 50 bucks the sidewinder is really good

On mine I modified an E-Savage driveline. The stock AX-10 and Rustler/Stampede drivelines were too light. They twisted within a couple of minutes. I used the through pins after drilling the shafts to help keep the drivelines from spinning on the transmission and differential shafts.

To power mine I used a 5700kV motor with a 27 tooth pinion. I'm thinking of switching out the AX-10 transmission with a pede tranny though. I built mine from an MT2 chassis. If I can get some pics later today I will post.
