A local hoppy shop just opened up here a few weeks ago, and beginning in January they are going to have off-road carpet races, I am looking to get into this for something to do in the winter since I can't crawl in the winter. I have been looking around, and am currently looking at the E-Firestorm or the T4. I think in the summer they are probably going to have outdoor races to, so i'm looking for a rig that i can race indoors in the winter and outside in the summer. I'm gonna wait till they start the racing though before i make my purchase to make sure there will be some ppl to race against. Any and all input is appreciated.

why the T4 over the E-Firestorm? I am kind of leaning towards the T4 since it will primarily be used for racing, and when i decide i want to bash i'll buy another truck. Also, i am just getting into racing, i currently have an axial crawler w/ the MM that i am going to swap into my racer doing the winter, i got a king blackfoot when i was young that i used to drive all the time, and i also have a tamiya terra-conquerer, that needs an esc though..... the mechanical speed control just isn't fun.

Racing, get the T4 because it is better suited for that. more reasons... T4 will last longer quality of the T4 parts is higher, less slop if you plan on racing. Also, resale value will also be higher w/ the T4 parts will be cheaper in the long run for the T4

T-4. Comparing the E-Firestorm to a T4 is like comparing a Mustang to a Ferrari.

lol, i didn't know it was that big of a difference. I was looking at the E-Firestorm because it's newer and can take more abuse, but i won't really be bashing with it to much, even if the local track closes in a year, i'll be in college next fall in a bigger city that has a track so i'll still be able to race there.
