Make sure the slipper is tight on the tranny. I tighten mine all the way, then back off 1/4 of a turn.

Hummm....do you hear any noise when you put it on the ground that is different than when you hold it off the ground? What are the specs? Got any pictures of your setup (body off)??

re-program the esc, maybe you held the power button too long.
also check the 70/30 50/50 switch on the radio. 50/50 is where i run mine.

make sure you have all you're motor wires plugged in, and if its a castle system make sure all you're settings are correct

Yeah, I wouldn't think that a bad motor wire connection would show symptoms when it was on the ground but not in the air. Those symptoms would be present all of the time.

I still think that something is wrong with your gears. I would pull apart the trans and make sure that nothing is loose.

Wonder if your pinion gear is just loose enough to spin on the shaft under load. Lightly stripped spur, bad mesh. Check your ring gear, idler gear, doubt its that, but never hurts to check.

Does this happen with all batteries or just this one? I have a pack that has a dead cell in it. The pack will charge and will work the same in the Slash off the ground. If I put it on the ground, the amps increase and the dead cell rears its ugly head and the volts drop to the point where it just creeps along. Pick it up, after a sec, all fine again. The battery works fine in a crawler as the amp draw isn't high enough to notice. Give that a check.

Parker, you mentioned that it was a Venom pack...their packs may be low end, but if the pack is relatively new, send them an email, they might replace it for you.
