Default anyone done this? water skipping arctic style truck?

Just saw those crazy arctic trucks climbing impossible hills and, which brings me to my idea, skippin across water. .. Anyone ever done it with rc? or am i wayyy off base even thinking its possible. Something lightweight, 4wd, extremely fast, and some paddles. I think it could be done. Any ideas on a platform?

I had though about it with my old WK and some panther paddles but never got around to it.

Build it run lipo and the new 9000kv Mamba max motor

a long time ago I saw a video of an 8th scale buggy do it with buggy paddles. you'll need a long smooth run up area before you hit the water and very smooth water conditions.
a full and smooth belly pan would help out too.

really? wow. thats pretty amazing if you did. Just to me it seems like a mgt would be wayyyy to heavy, and dirt hawgs wouldn't provide enough " lift" to stay on top of the water. . .

I've seen a Savage-X converted to brushless do it a couple times. Put some skis on the front of that rusty and give it a try

Saw some full size ones doing it on tv a few years ago.
Somewhere like Scandanvia, or Norway, can't remember exactly.

Cliff Lett did it with a Yokomo across a swimming pool about 20 years ago.

I would love to see video of an RC doing that. Seen 1:1 do it a lot. I have one I would like to think would do that, but no body of water to try it.

There was a vid on UK youtube of a clodbuster doing it.

Seal the tyres, waterproof the lot and away you go

Here are two projects of mine that were inspired by those lake skipping Formula Off-Road trucks. The widened wheels is an attempt at achieving more flotation over the surface. I would like to try water skipping too but need to research more about "waterproofing" lipo and brushless systems (especially the batteries).
