The plan is a basher with additude. Pulling the 4600kv out of the creeper and putting it in the high roller. dual shocks front and rear. and 12 cells just cause I can.

Well since its a highroller its gear will destruct quickly...then the slight breeze or a tiny slow speed hit will break it. Losi's name is tarnished because its on this thing. This should have been put under the SportWerx name...

Its funny i get him all these new toy but all he wants to do is run with the big boys. He is the flip over king i flip it then he rights it. His motor skills are getting good he can steer or run the throttle, but not both yet. I give it 6 months and he'll be on his way to be the next top dog on the courses. The 4800kv isnt good enough I have a 6900kv on the way. 9.9v a123s and a bigger pinion. 68000 rpm. more power and bigger jumps.

lol I don't think the tranny will survive that motor, but one good thing is replacement gears are cheap, like $4.99 I believe it says in the book.

ya any time you can pull a wheely 3/4 into the throttle and still can't touch full throttle, fast is a under statement. Last edited by werty; 01-28-2009 at 09:31 PM. Reason: going to try a new part

I like it, with the brushed motor it was a blast. Just tooling around the backyard. jumps good, It is easy to straiten out in the air. few things: Get rid of the stock steering servo I upgraded to a MSX high torque LOSB0819 steering servo. The big thing is the gears went out two fast. The first set was ok till I put the 6900kv in it. The second set lasted 2 battery packs I think the a123 9.9v and the motor being so hot kill's stock gears. But there is hope. I just heard losi is coming out with some steel gears for a hop up. I will be testing them before I give up hope on the high roller as a great basher. Big thanks goes out to Rich Trujillo. He is the one that saved this roller form being a ebay item. It has the platform to be a crazy basher if the steel gears hold up. Hope this helps you starvinmarvin!

Sounds like the Mini LST all over again. I really like the look of the high roller but, without steel gears its a waste to go bl. Hopefully losi will come out with some steel gears for it, I mean its all about lipo and brusless now.
