Default Dirt Track inspired Hot Rod

I saw this car in Hot Rod magazine a while back, and fell in love:

I looked around my workshop the other day and decided to recreate it with parts I had laying around.

Here's what I used:
My TL-01 based drifter (I'm not modifying anything on the chassis because I want to be able to quickly go back to drifting)
A Bolink Legends body I bought off ebay for $2.00
Some HPI black 5-star 2.2 wheels that were on the shelf
A set of Pro-Line Road Hawg tires I've had for at least 10 years and used on various things

And here's what I ended up with:

I'd like to get the body down lower, which will require some additional trimming and I think the antenna mount in the back will have to come off (not too big of a deal).

A little additional money, and I could probably make it look pretty nice. No additional money, and it works! Since I've always loved the "If it runs, it's done" mentality of hot rodding, this will probably be about it.

I think it should make a good AWD dirt track style basher!

Very cool both the 1:1 and yours.

I just like your project because it's something different but I'm digging its style too. Would be nice if you are able to lower the body some more even if only front, but does look fine as is.
