So i had an idea after looking at some pictures. Ive never really seen any r/c rat rods. so i went searchin on ebay and found some cheap older tonka trucks. picked this one up for $15

Cool would be 1 crazy scaler too with all the rust already there!!!

ok so after toying around with the frame today, im going to need to custom make a rear axle. dose anybody have shots of some home-made rears? or know where i can get one that would fit on a 3 1/4" wide frame?

MRC axle is a pretty narrow one.

didnt even think of that, about how wide is it?

That frame is sitting way too high..."thumbsup"

check out the vegas rockabilly car show pics in the chit chat section for some ideas, tires are too small.

well its still just mocked up right now. its sitting on a 3/4" piece of plywood. once i get the rear im going to use, ill "Z" the rear of the frame and the main frame will sit about 1/4" or less off the ground. i dont know about those wheels, i think i might go a bit bigger.

I noticed this as a "something else you might like" link at the bottom of another build, and I clicked on it. I know it was started in April of 09, but does anyone know what happened to this build?
