How Fast Can A Tamiya Hauler Type Truck Go??? I know these aren't geared to be very fast but I was wondering if I were to build a Racing Truck ... >>>> http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/i...2008/VOLVO.jpg I'm just guessing that a brushless setup would be overkill in that gear box... Looks like I will be using a Tamiya Ford Aeromax 1/14 for the build ... Thanks !!! |
That would be pretty bad ass in scale! |
They have a 3 speed gearbox. I saw one and would guess it was rolling close to 20 mph. But not sure if he was going thru all 3 gears due to space.. There was a video of someone driving theirs on ice on here a while back ago. Might search video section. Found it. http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/showt...=knight+hauler |
Thanks ! Looks like the build will be rolling soon "thumbsup" |
i had a hi speed motor in mines a 8 turn brushed motor in it. it handled it i have the merc. single axle one. it wasnt easy to change gears in it at fast speeds. didnt do to much damage to gears. but i wasnt risking putting a brushless in it |
brushless+ summit tranny= win? |
They are pretty top heavy and don't like to corner at speed but fun to drive. |
gotta put some drift tires on there, it'll corner  |
bob the back tire and go to 2 tires per axle. |
super single drift tires"thumbsup" |
Making some sway bars for it would probably help as well. |
