| Slash spur gear question.
I have been running my slash with stock spur for a month or so, Just yesterday after landing a jump the motor spun and smoked the spur. I was wondering if anyone was running a metal spur on there rig. Or is that a NO NO.

Spur= cheap and EASY to replace fuse in my book... a metal spur would just move the failure point. Make sure you're off the throttle when you land and maybe loosen up the slipper a touch.

Ok thanks a ton. I Already took the ground down spur off and picked up another. I was just wondering if I was wasting my time with the plastic stuff. Thanks for the tips tho. I'll give that a try. I had just put flat irons on it cuz I killed a stock slash rear tire. they hooked up WAY better that may have helped destroy the spur.

if you properly set your slipper and gear mesh that spur should last you awhile i usually run mine 1/4 a turn from fully tightened there is a section about it in the slash manual |

I actually saw and did that when I put the brushless in. But I put the tires with more grip on it and one jump later I goosed it right after I landed and BOOM it was done. I set the gear mesh with a post it.
