Money will be better saved toward your future Axial. Seriously, once you get a real hobby grade RC you'll understand. Now unless it has a decent scale body on it, I would pass. Good things come to those who wait! When you get the Axial, I'd be willing to bet you will trash all your other projects.

Would the electronics be good in an axial especially the motor?

If you want a decent crawler, for $160 shipped you can have a RTR Redcat RS10. It is the underdog but it has potential and ALOT of Axial stuff works on it. Just a thought to help you atleast get started.

well I really want an Axial but how does it compare to an axial? I 'm not really changing my mind that easily at all about getting an Axial cause I've wanted on for 2-3 years now but never saved up enough to get one.

Wait for the Axial. The RS10 is MOA (motor on axle) so I'm not sure how Axial parts will work on it. Wait for the Axial, you won't be dissappointed.

yeah cause it sounds like you have to do some upgrading in order to get it to crawl decently.

Lower links work, steering knuckles fit, upper links and "Y" work, Wheels, and Ill be finding more that works in the near future. When this all started there wasnt build rigs, you had to experiment. It the same thing with the Redcat, its new and from an underdog company so automatically its junk!!! If the kid doesnt have $300-400 to get going with a Axial, the Redcat would give him the perfect start.

It crawls very well out of the box, but just like the Axials, they can be made better. Search videos on youtube.

But then again, everyone else must be right, save for a few more years and continue new bright projects. Personally Id rather be out on the rocks.

Wwwwwoooooaaaahhhh man if it was that much I'd never be able to get an Axial even if i saved up my own money to but it I still wouldn't get it cause I'm not spending that much to get started in the hobby over time I'll probaly end up spending mor. But I can get all I need to get running for $253 which is extremely low. Wouldn't you say?

Thr RTR or any RTR kit all will need upgrades to make them work the way you want. I simply made a sugestion that for your situation seemed like a great alternative to atleast get you out on the rocks and get you started.

For $245 you can get the Axial RTC.....grab a used charger and a $20 battery and you're on the rocks with a hobby grade rc.....just food for thought
