| Slash metamorphosis
So I always wanted a Tamiya Sand Scorcher but I'm sure as heck not going to drop $300 plus on the re release Bajas due out some time spring of next year (at least that's what I heard). So I decided to tweak my Slash a bit. Here are some progress pics. There are still more things I added and as soon as I get more pics I'll post them. Are the front tires narrowed Switch's? Did you narrow the beadlocks also? Looks good. I really like the tube work arould the light and engine. |

Yes, I narrowed both the tires and the bead lock wheels. Being the wheels are a three piece they are really easy to narrow. The Switch tires I narrowed about a 1/2".

Here it is with a few more upgrades. Next will be a brushless system. Anyone have that Traxxas brushless setup? How do you like it? |

Looks sharp! Very nice paint. Its just enough without being too much. How did you fab up your nerf bars and rear bumper? Is it plastic or did you braze something?

The traxxas brushless system is definitely they way to go. My brother-in-law bought the traxxas system and I bought a sidewinder with the 5700kv motor. Mine is definitely faster, but I have over heating problems with mine.

That looks killer man. I just picked up a second hand Slash, and have been wondering what to do with it. Love the narrowed fronts. |

How did you narrow the wheels? I need to do that for the Slash rail I'm building.
