| introducing the Blizzard Rat
Well guys, I finally have my E-Revo set up for winter, Figured that since I'm running a Desert Rat body, calling it the Blizzard Rat seem appropriate The Pro-Line Desert Rat body is painted in Pactra Candy Blue backed by the same Pactra Pearl White backed by Sprint White that covers the rest of the body. The stripes are arranged in the so that they look like a two tone paint from the side, yet like wide, body line following skunk stripes from the top. The Wheels are Platinum Edition Dishes and PE/new 3.3 Revo splined hexes with the T-Maxx Classic/16.8v E-Maxx Chevrons. The electronics are factory stock, but it's currently geared 16/68 with 120k Ofna diff oil up front and 50k Traxxas diff oil out back. The suspension has the spring tensioners set at the same position as the PE Revo, while using the long travel rockers and springs with the pushrods set as far inboard as possible. |

That looks NICE! I like the paint job a lot. I like chevrons, even if they aren't the "best" tire for any given terrain, they always look cool. Should do well in the snow! |

The video's are still loading to YouTube, but I've got a bunch of pics from today. I ended up spraying the tripod alot from sliding in front of the camera. ALso found a hand catch pan to set the truck in while it's got snow on it. It's made to go under washing machines incase they leak, kinda like a bed pan I guess. |

Looks like a pretty sweet setup. Have you tried paddle tires yet? I think those would give you some pretty decent grip as well, as long as the snow is a few inches deep.

Here's the first one, took friggen forever to load! I ran some old GP3300 7.2v packs for this run and it's geared 16/68. Those batteries were HOT by the time this video was done! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UIGEtGROUH0 |

It was, until I killed one of the motors towards the end second vid, but the 8.4v Trinity packs I was running didn't blow up though Now I don't know why, but running through the back yard it reminded me of the Swamp Buggy Races they used to show on TNN back in the 80's |
