Default Crosley Wagon Build

I had an idea of building this body from scratch for a long time now. My problem is sizing the photo for a scale match for what i need. I have photo shop but no idea how to use it.

As for the build, its ether going stock or hood ride/rat rod look

using a Tamiya chassis and building the body from styrene.

Here's the photo and helping hands are always welcome.

If you can find out the original wheelbase, I can help you scale the pics. I'm an automotive designer by trade and have to deal with this stuff all the time. send me a PM if you need help figuring it out.

...and if you like my lil gasser build maybe you'll wanna go that route too!

This might help.

I also sent my father an email, he has a 49 wagon and most likely knows or can find out any spec you need.
Edit: Dad replied
The wagon should be:
Wheelbase is 80"
Center of Tread to Center of tread is 40"
Body is 48" Wide
About 12' long bumper to bumper

Some other fun full size projects:

Thanks Guys, I love the rat rod Crosley, That's Bad A$$, Is it yours?

On a building note, I want to use a m03 frame, there easy to work on and a good plat form. Would i just blow up the photo to fit over a frame and start building or is there a better Way.

Thanks

Off to the lhs for styrene.

Default Update

Will here's an update.

I bought a m02 from another member, and drew up the body on poster board to start making the body out of styrene. The front end will be the hardest. I am copying the drawing for the passenger side. Hope to start building the body tomorrow.

Default So it starts

Well made some ruff cuts for both sides, some lines a little off, but will be able to remake them with putty. I have both sides like this. Now just got to glue them up. AS for the roof I am going to use flat styrene and then add foam and make the shape i need. I may do this for the hood and grill area. Any other styrene builders out there. What do you use to cut very straight lines, mine look like a five year old did it. Enjoy, more to come soon. mrgreen:
