I know its a topic that's beat to death, but what torch/brazing rod are you using, and is that just brake line? I tried making a tuber once using solid steel rod, was able to get most of the joints to hold using an oxy-acetaline torch and some kind of brazing rod (been so long i'd have to go look). The only problem I had was I had to heat the steel so much that the rod would only hold on one side and/or melt the steel.

I use a mapp gas torch and flux coated brass rods, all of which i got at Lowes. Its mostly 3/16 brake line tubing and i use 1/8 solid music wire where i need alot of beef.I heat up both sides of joint till glowing red, then hold the brass rod next to it and it kinda just flows into it like syrup fills in the pancakes.Once you do one good joint,it just comes easy the next time

I guess the solid rod was probably my problem. Did you strip the coating off the brakeline, or did you find some somewhere that is uncoated?

I get the non-coated stuff from my local Oreilly auto parts store, but ive seen alot of builds on here that use the coated stuff and just sand it off

With tube work like that, it's almost a shame to put a body on it

I think a set of Rok lox or the new baja tires from RC4WD would look right at home on that beauty!

Great job on the chassis and suspension by the way!
