Wink My Revo

Hey guys, I dont call it a crawler but it can do some light duty crawling and heavy duty everything else I know nitro isnt the best choice for crawling but it was my first intention for the truck until I found out why (stalling and flooding of the engine) the torque was what i thought was the main concern until I got it set up like in the pix (HR 12T pinion, 42T spur, OS .30 VG) so torque was definetly NOT the issue anymore. (p.s. snapped the hardened steel 12T pinion in half). So yeah, now its got the stock gears and a few other mods. I'll look em all up when I get a little time. But what I can remember so far is:

Traxxas BBC kit
OS .30 VG big block (bump start of course)
New Era aluminum extended wheelbase rear a-arms
IMEX Swamp Kong tires and diamond rims
RPM front knuckles w/ oversized bearings
Integy blue anodized aluminum pushrods
.....cant remember if any more right now but its faaaaar from finished
:EDIT: -Sorry no pics, must of missed something... Help admin pls?

No, we're wondering how you stumbled upon a RC Rockcrawling site and post up about your Revo, like no one's ever heard/seen one before.

We don't care.

you came to a crawling site talking about a high speed basher...wrong crowd. Cant blame you for wanting to share, when I get my revo I am probably going to post it here just for kicks.

as for the emaxx go to the emaxx section and take a look at the first two stickies, when you have questions about them search the forum for the answer, then when you need further clarification of something specific, then ask.

Damn dude, I was just sharing my "crawler" and trying to become part of this forum becuase i want to get a real one and maybe get some advice from you guys along the way as to what I should do with it. I live in colorado so theres plenty of places to crawl around here. Hell my revo goes pretty good through the rocks and up 45+ degree inclines as well. I have places to wheel my revo all over my property and im pretty sure that with the right gears it could wheel (not crawl through rocks) just as good as any crawler. Its more of a bigfoot than a crawler but I just thought you guys might think it was cool.

My advice to you would be to go through each forum and read every single sticky. You'll then have a good basic knowledge of all of the different crawlers out there, you'll get a idea of how this site operates, and most importantly you'll know how to search, which would have avoided this whole thread.

Well, sorry for sharing guys. I shouldda just posted this thread in the maxx crawlers from the get go. I had read about 90% of the newer threads on this site before joining. And one of the main reasons I bought a revo was because I was planning on converting to electric but now im kinda happier with the whole "punch-the-gas-and-end-up-on-its-lid" thing. And with my stock gears im going like 50mph! So im planning on getting a stick for a crawler. Good idea?
