Holy crap, Stu! I'm not really sure what to say other than... How in the hell did the builder of this clapped out hoopty afford a cowl steering setup??

I love all the little vintage hot rod details.... Stewart Warner gauges, the stickers on the windshield, etc. etc... My fav is the Nailhead, though. Other than a "real" Hemi, that's the only other motor I'd consider putting in my hot rod. Kick ass job!!

I guess he shops at a really good junkyard Corvair steering box.

Nope, you're right. No wastegate or blow-off valve. This is one of those 80's aftermarket turbo kits that relies on valve float to regulate boost pressure

Thanks Joe! It's getting down to the little details now...

Battery

Rear-view mirror

I cut two Pajero fog-light lenses in half to make one round one. Since there's a "crack" in the lens, I tinted the reflector. Also painted the white ball ends.

Had to do something with that servo arm

Absolutely amazing work once again Stu , but I have to ask, do you ever sleep?
There is just no way that anyone could do a build like this in this short amount of time and sleep... in fact I don't know that anyone else could do a build like this period.

My vote for the hood ornament is ditch it and make a cool swan ornament or something like that.

How about a Mack bulldog instead?

Taillight panel and license plate

Starter and generator wiring. This project has officially gotten away from me.

The shaker could still make it, if only because...

... it's so damn cool to see this.

That was gonna be my other suggestion but with the red jewel eyes like you see in JC Whitney catalogs.

Besides the coke bottle overflow for the radiator you need the old beer can around the coil.

Not sure I can carve a Coke bottle. I'd need a good chunk of clear plastic to even try it. Next time I'm at the craft store I'll look in the dollhouse section and see if they have any empty ones.

I did try the beer-can coil cover, but with the band clamp around the middle you couldn't see what it was. I figured a missing detail is better than a poorly-executed one. I will do the red jewel eyes, though. That's a good one

The wiper motor on the 1:1 puked on me, so that's tomorrow's project. Changing a wiper motor in a snowstorm

Totally agree! If you can't really tell what it is then best to leave it alone. I do have a coke can I could send you if you want it.

on the jewel eyes.

I've seen the bottles floating around here from time to time and I know I have seen them on ebay. Maybe put a wanted add up if you don't find one at the craft store, I'm sure someone would be happy to send you one free of charge for this thing... I would.

Not sure if this will work, it's about 3/4" tall and 1/4" diameter...

That's a little small. And I'd rather build something anyway

Taillight panel in place, but the lights are temporary. I've got something mind-blowingly awesome in the works for those

Plastic caps from LED Christmas lights may do the trick with a little trimming.

The lens is the easy part. Gotta figure out the bezels (28 fins on each one). Even I may not be that patient.
