Lightbulb TLT 4-Link basher?

Hi, Im planing of building a TLT 4-link basher. Anyone done this? Id like to build a mt that will be driven more like the real thing, jumping/bashing.

Im thinking of using a pede tranny, tubechassi and ofcource tlt-axels. I want to use an 1:10 body, so I need to stretch it some as well.

But what do I need to make different from a crawler? What do I need to make extra strong? etc ....

Dont need that much flex I think(30 deg maybe). What shocks would you recomend?

Might want a faster motor then a 55t, but I dont want it to fast. Just fast enough to make some decent jumps. Maybe 35t?

And wheelies? can it be done?

1. I have really seen a fast TLT before, except on URC, and other speed weirdos that think TLTs should go like hell, but it can be done!

Doubt it!!

Sounds like you need a ta02 truck!!!!!! this should be in newbie general too!

Yes, Im a newbie, BUT, Id like to know what you tlt-crawler guys think thats why I postet it here.

And I dont want it to be "superfast" I just want good bashing speed. And I want the tlt axels because I want a 4-link stiff axel setup like real mt:s, like gravedigger, maximum destruction and those trucks.

If you are not going to be crawling much then stick with the stock chassis and tranny. For decent speed install a stock motor, 27t. Also extend the links and run some maxx shocks with mgt stiff springs. you will end up with exactly what you are looking for

Take a look, my very first tlt lol, exactly what you are wanting...

In it's stock form, a TLT is already pretty much a "basher" - Out of the box, it isn't a racer, nor a crawler - It's just a small scale MT.

So, get some nice electronics for it, toss in a 27t motor, and see how you like it in stock trim. It should do wheelies no problem, and even some small jumps. If you stretch the wheelbase and toss in a lathe, even a 35t, you are probably going to lose the wheelie capability.

I wanted to do something like this but have it crawl to. I realized I couldn't do it because of locked diffs+speed=messed up drivetrain. I learned that on my rustler.
