I should rename this build the Tuffguy, Ballin' and Szczerba's 2x4 to 4x4 Trophy Truck Build.

I am just waiting on the 3/16" tube to show up. Should be tomorrow or the next day. Ordered two 2200mah 3S 40c lipos tonight.
Nah, Tuffguy is just my screen name. I am just a skinny white boy with a beer gut.

Janky tack welds on the rear. More triangulation to come to further tie this into the front of the chassis. 45 deg supports are placed on top of rear link mounts do to battery placement

Are you going to tie the cage in with the front bumper.

Yes sir. Planning that next. I am going to run a few bars from the rear link mounts to tie into the front windshield area as well.
The front shock tower and front bumper mounting holes are in a tight setup. Brain storming on the best setup that will hold up. I am going to reinforce the area under the steering area too. Couple more hours of fab time.

Epical amount of grinding and sanding, 3 hours of it.
I'm done with it. Good enough for me. Time for paint and assembly tomorrow. Maybe a little test drive too.

Front suspension is fully tied into cage. Should be solid.

Running 19t pinion and 36t spur in the video. Tons of low end, could use some gearing up.
Just swapped out to a 20t pinion after the video. Going to put on a 37t spur soon.

Luckly, I was able to get the two batteries low (two 2200mah, 40c, 11.1v lipos in parallel). Kinda nose heavy right now but jumps pretty flat. It sticks to the ground right now. Running a front sway bar. going to have to devise a rear sway bar. Torque twist action on high traction surfaces.

about 7.5lb rtr now.

....

My painting team, Rootar, suggested that color. He will be doing the airbrushing on the body before too long. I guess he has a "vision" for it.
I was going to go with white. The blue is a little darker than baby blue. Pictures make it look a little lighter.
