Default TMXONR's RC Sand/Dirt Rail (FINISHED PICS ADDED!)

NEW VIDEO ADDED TO POST #38
High-Res VIDEO ADDED TO POST #41

Well with the recent burst in RC Sand rails, I decided to build my own instead of another crawler. It isn't finished yet, It will hopefully be done tomorrow. I need for my wheels to come in and I also have to pick up some new shocks. This one isn't going to be a "Sand" rail, but more of a "Dirt" rail. There isn't any sand around here so I will have to play in the dirt with it. It has a Spektrum radio system, Z590 steering servo, Novak SS5800 brushless system. The trans is out of a Stampede, and the front is also from a Stampede. For now these pics will have to do since it isnt finished yet. So, What do yall think of it?

I'm thinking I should take this stealth tranny tuber TLT I'm building, stretch the frame and ditch the solid axles...

Looks very good so far...

Thanks, I was going to add a support in the rear so I could add another body pannel, but the chassis can hold my weight the way it is, so I decided not to add anything else.

Some FLM aluminum arms would really look good replacing the Stampede stockers on your rig.

Great job. What tires are you planning on running?

Thanks, I am using the stockers on the rear, and Nitro Rush arms on the front. I was going to build my own arms, but I cant find my Titanium drill bit set, and the bit I have with my tap wont go through the steel anymore. Since there is no sand around here it will be played with in the dirt and I am going to be running Losi Directional Ribs on the front, and Losi Step-Pins on the rear.

These FLM extended arms are the same width as the stock rears and the HPI Rush fronts. http://www.rc-monster.com/proddetail...LM24810&cat=31

I just think aluminum A arms would look sweet on that rig.

Thumbs up

Man these rails are really taking off!Yours looks sick,it's nice to have some more designs out there. We leave the floor of ours open, so pebbles and sand don't get stuck in the electronics. So far so good, be sure to post some video.

Thanks man! I was going to leave the floor of mine open, but when I went out and tested it at the park befor painting it and putting the pannels on I noticed the open floor hurting me in some places (I got a stick stuck through the center) so I decided to make a full floor. I will hopefully have video this weekend if i cant make any this week.

i love it except for the front tires. you should go with something for a 4x4 buggy. have you thought of doing an interior? I bet it would be really easy with the flat floor. this isn't really relevent but has anyone thought of doing more of a dune buggy type build, more of closed and long front and a solid rear, mabey end the cage a litlle earlyier(sp). that would be sick

I thought about putting one of those cell phone holders in that look like a racing seat, but not a full interior.

Looks sweet. when you test it, i'm curious to how well the axle/u-joint will hold up at the steep angle.
