Default desertmaxx's orange hilux

recently, i picked up a 1980 toyota truck. this isnt any truck. this is the multi time winning, toyota of orange race truck. i paid $400 for the truck as it sat. it needs alot of work, so i decided to make an rc of it first. will have pics and parts soon.

Very cool!! The 1:1 looks like it will be a fun project, how awsome to bring something with such a cool history back to life! Cant wait to see either of them (scale or 1:1) being built.

wow, very cool find. Love the rear suspension setup. How scale are you going to go with the Rc build? Tubework and all?

Cool find.

I just bought another 1:1 yesterday. 1989 toyota 4runner ( 1st Gen)
my first yota, actually this site inspired my decision to buy it.

Good luck with both build. I'll be following this one

as close as i can to my abilities. i am going to do a full cage. another thing i forgot to mention is i am going to be runnung the rc4wd shock boots. i picked my choice for my cstle esc/motor. i am going to be running the castle mamba max pro sct setup.. this is going to be a costly one. what do you all think about running hpi mini trophy suspension up front? i think it looks pretty scale and has just the right amount of travel. it would be 2wd though.

Pretty sweet, nice history with that truck. Also, it needs more rear shocks lol.
