Well I was thinking of getting an e-maxx for some bashing electric fun aside from racing and crawling, but they aren't cheap. The new Stampede looks pretty good to me, with a new slipper clutch and speed control, plus the cool looking gray chassis, and the cheap $190 price tag RTR, sounds good to me. I think im gettin one. It has a crappy 12 turn in it stock so it least its not too slow, but I will put a mod motor in it for sure and use a bronco body. and moabs, this thing will be fun. What do you guys think? I wish it was a kit, but whatever.

That 12 turn is a 550 can motor, so it should be a beast in that little truck.

You do realize that technically a 12 turn motor is a modified motor. The Traxxas units have fixed endbells and timing at zero, so run the same in forward and reverse, but 12t is still 12t. Compare that to their 20t Stinger they used to have. I run a 13x2 mod / Novak GT7 combo in my Pede, thing screams. Have fun!

Masher 2k's would work well for bashing, but the new Stampede has Talons (Revo tread) - they should work just fine.

If your talking about hpi's bronco body you might want to get an extended chassis.... It's a bit short stock.

Yeah, the HPI bronco is fairly big for a maxx/savage body anyway. I recommend FLM products, I have their chassis, front bulk, arms and shock towers on my pede.

yeah I wasn't quite sure on the body, and I will for sure run the talon tires for a long while, but I have moab's that im not using so that's why I said moabs. Yeah, the 12 turn motor will be pretty fast, but I will want faster, for sure. Would love the new tekin brushless system for it, but I need one for my XXX-T a lot more!

if you are looking for a basher, get a old pede off of the traxxas message bords, you can get them for about 50-60 ARTR. there is almost NO difference between the two trucks for under 100 you can have yourself a boom-proof basher.

For a basher, do you really care that the slipper is a little better or that is has a better stock motor and ESC? You would be silly not to put a brushless in a Pede, I mean, that is what god built Pede's for right? | |
