| Finally a sandrail for myself!
Well, I build quite a few of these last year and sold them all without keeping one for myself. I finally got the motivation a couple months ago to start another. I had the main frame done but moved and didn't have a space to work on it. Just got back on it a couple days ago at a buddies house. Just have to finish brazing up all the joints unless I come up with something else to add. Heres some specs and some photos of the frame as it sits now. I'll try and get better pics and some photos up tomorrow as a roller. Specs: rustler tranny rustler steering Jato arms. axial links for turnbuckles and upper links savage shocks out back 4in. al. shocks up front proline beadlocks panther paddles hpi fronts Last edited by derwood21; 08-06-2009 at 01:41 AM. |

| Probably around 7-8 hours. I had not built one for a while but once I started, it came back to me. I forgot how fun it was to built this stuff. Next is a new rock racer/scale chassis, then possiblely a full tube solid axle trophy truck.

badass. i think it would look alot better with maxx sized wheels and paddles on the back. they look rinky-dink compared to the rest of the rig (size wise) killer chassis. |

Looking good!! Ran into the same problem with the 2.2 paddles, that's why i went the desert route. Also picked up a black trans case and front bulkhead, they are quite cheap and look much better then that Traxxas grey. Keep up the great build.. |

Thanks guys. I do plan on powdercoating the frame white. I want to powdercoat the arm the same red too. I have a set of maxx size paddlles and they are way to big. I may have to experiment and try and make my own bigger 2.2 paddles. Looks like we need RC4WD to make us those 1.9/2.2 paddles they were talking about like a year ago! (HINT HINT) |
