Thanks to the info another forum member gave me. It turns out my very old silver 911 with the aluminum chassis
Is the first rc car tamiya ever produced circa 1976. And if it was in perfect shape it would be worth close to 2 grand
It is very far from perfect. But it seems it deserves the respect of a restoration

Now I have one more project

How about a brand new in the box Kyosho Big Boss? I'll snap a picture of it when I get a chance...

There used to be a retrofit kit available from tamiya to convert to the Jugg 2 parts, but they were 80 bucks and I don't think they're available anymore.
Thats a bummer. I guess she will just stay a shelf queen then....

That's cool. I knew it was early but I didn't know it was the first. Hope you can find the parts to fix it up right. Here's a picture for some motivation.

Just finished converting my RC10T to gas power like they would have done before there were kits available. No parts used from the RC10GT just a few home made pieces and some thinking.

AWESOME MAN!!!

Wish you were making these back in the days! you would have been the man of the hour!

The direct connect between the motor and spur gear is sweet as early conversions kits such as Moody 's were using belts and pulleys (much harder to gear for different tracks)

your design is well executed.

will pour a little Baileys Irish Cream in my coffee for ya!

Heres my almost 20 year old minty fresh Team Losi LX-T I just got from a buddy. It was only driven for motor break-in in his his driveway and it sat on a shelf ever since. I did put a battery in it and everything still works like a champ!!! Now it will be cleaned and sat on a stand on a shelf for probably another 20 years.

nice score. I just added another Inferno 10 to my collection. This makes number 3 for me

I'm gathering them up as I love them and they are cheap cause no one knows what they are and no one wants them.

If anyone ever runs across a company called "Panda" they made a stadium truck in the mid to late 80's? that was my first rc car I would LOVE to have one again.

Here's my all-original Monster Beetle. Can't bring myself to drive it.

Edit: I had a Kyosho Turbo Optima Mid when I was 18 and I remember giving it to a coworker for his kids. Never saw it again, wish I still had it.

I see them every so often. I wanted one as a kid and have thought about adding one to my collection but I have too many other priority wants. If I see one I'll give you a heads up.
