Great start!! Will this be like the outlaw buggies commonly found in Naples? If so what are you doing for front tires? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Yup. I took cues from a few 1:1 buggies. “Roll On”, “Bar Gator” , “Rubber Duck” and “Cold Duck” Using 1/10 front buggy tires up front and Proline Black Mamba out back. Aluminum Wheel plates. Early on pictures here trying to figure out tire sizes. This was before I started building the chassis actually. Last edited by Szczerba; 11-09-2023 at 04:38 PM.

| Szczerba’s 66th Build: Swampbuggy Racing Aye! Hope all is well. Yup, only done a few builds the last few years. Been into building atv’s and dirtbikes and then riding them. I do have an idea to build 3-5 vehicles as a themed set but we’ll see how far I take it. Not part of this build. A few pictures of the wheels. One back ring, a front inside face and an outside face plate to sandwich bead. No foams for now. 3 hub screws sandwich the two face plates and screw into hub. Still need to add the 6 screws on the outside face for looks. Rears are 9.25” tall and fronts are 7” tall. Second outer face to clamp down on bead. Last edited by Szczerba; 11-09-2023 at 08:26 PM. |

| Szczerba’s 66th Build: Swampbuggy Racing Always wanted to build one of these and it turning out pretty ok. Quote:
A few more tire pics. Yup, should be mostly waterproof. Holmes brushless motor, SHV800 servo and castle esc. To be honest, I may never run it in the water. Haha. High Altitude Performance sway bar arms with 1/8” bar and the HAP custom rear axle. Dlux axle special request axle internals. Two long side wraith 7mm FBA axles shafts and Dlux modified locker with HD axial gears. Last edited by Szczerba; 11-10-2023 at 10:04 PM.

Gonna be too purdy for the "swamp". What do you mean modified ring gear? Sent from my SM-G781U using Tapatalk |

| Re: Szczerba’s 66th Build: Swampbuggy Racing Thanks. As usual, tons of fab work but worth it. Quote:
They modify a locker to fit the 7mm shafts. Sell it as a kit. I got them to sale me the kit but with two long sides. The extra axle width helped get me the track width I wanted with the tire width I wanted. https://dluxfab.com/7mm-FBA-REAR-AR6...fts-p108852017

Very cool! I always love seeing your creations. The motor looks so tiny next to the wheels haha, I dont think we've gotten the true sense of scale on this yet. |

Homerun! Looking exactly as a traditional swamp racer does. Tires are a work of art, I can almost hear it screaming down the middle of the track! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Last edited by mikemcE; 11-12-2023 at 11:41 AM. |

Thanks guys. Next to the 1.9 F-Toy but a bit skewed since the Toy is closer to camera. Swamp buggy is 18.75” wheelbase Older pictures when tires weren’t finished. Last edited by Szczerba; 11-11-2023 at 11:03 AM. |

Your creativity never ceases to amaze me! This is a cool niche build, something your really good at. F- toy is still my all time favorite!

Thanks for the kind words. I get these build ideas stuck in my head and have to build them. Other non-rc ideas build ideas take up my time too. Jeeps, ATV’s, motorcycles. Built several of those in the last few years too. RC’s are back in the mix right now. Planning on building up a Tamiya Landfreeder Quadtrack while at the inlaws next week, have some ideas for it too. Mockup black panels. 3d printed headers, scale ford engine. Fuel cell moved. Loaded up on the #szczerbuilt tow rig.

That is good to know I am in the ball park. Haha. Never seen one in person, just tv growing up. Mock up skis and lower body panel. Won’t be going with black or the blue. Chassis will get painting black. There will be a body panel over the motor and fuel cell. Last edited by Szczerba; 11-12-2023 at 12:18 PM.
