Default E-maxx help

Hey guys currently in the process of rebuilding a e-maxx I bought, Is it normal for the spur or pinion whatever one is on the transmission to spin without moving the truck? If not how do I fix it?

Default E-maxx help

Pictures help. Which emaxx is it? New or old? Does it have a two speed transmission? First I would check the set screw on the pinions (gear mounted to motor) then make sure the slipper is tight (nut in front of gear mounted on transmission). After that if it's in gear, then cross pins. If all those are right take tranny apart and look for missing broken gears!

I agree. The spur should def not free spin unless the slipper is smoked or not tight enough. Did the truck work?
