getting into quads

I have been playing with my x4 quad for months and slowly amasing a army of micros but im wanting to go bigger and faster. My first thought was a Alias but i figured for a little more work i could build one . im a total noob at this and the info on the net is daunting as hell so i figured i would look for advice on familiar ground.

Heres what im looking at geting, correct me where im wrong lol.
Hobbyking fpv250 frame
Afro 12a escs (simonk flashed)
2200kv outrunners
Kk2.1.5 control board
3s 2000mah epc batterys
5x3 2 blade props
x9 transmitter
....amything im missing or overlooking?
