|  Out run the dog!
I am trying to find a RC setup to outrun my dog. I had the 2wd stampede and just couldn't cut it. any ideas?

Add a high kv brushless setup, 3s and stiffen/lower suspension. And don't forget to gear for the moon...

What kind of dog you got ? I usually ran my traxxas bandit on 2s with the 5700kv motor and it's tupid fast, on 3s it was a rocket!

Tamiya Hornet with a sport tuned motor will outrun most dogs on 2S - really light buggy, although your dog might get it in the corners being four paw drive  |

I cant drive my slash at home anymore... its way too fast. I had to modify the input shaft bc it kept breaking those rolled pins, had to dremel it out and jb weld an axle pin in it.

I think I should have read what I typed before I commented bc I meant to say I have a sidewinder sct that's pretty fast....that was supposed to be the sentence

2nd test run of my foff: had almost no brakes and low gearing. as it is now Axial axles/Trans OD gears in both axles Old ass Mamba Max and CC CMS 5700kv 2s (3s is fun in the sand but hard to control anywhere else) something like a 20t pinion/56 spur Open front diff, really low cog... even hard for the dog to flip it. My 2wd stampede does 50+ on the vxl system. 3s lipo and 22t/86t gearing. My dog is scared of mine but he has chased it a few times and couldnt keep up. Last edited by lostonthetrails; 09-17-2014 at 08:26 AM. |

Thanks for all the advice guys. I went with the traxxas stampede 4x4. Does the job very well. I have a pitbull. He is super fast and agile. and I needed something that could withstand the punishment if he actually does catch it so I went with the stampede.
