Default Bagged minitruck

I've built 2 other trucks like this in the past but never finished them, well I'm determined to finish this one lol

I found a square body ford ranger body and I'm going to use a associated 1/18 MT chassis that I'll stretch to the correct wheelbase and use servos for the adjustable suspension

This is where I'm at right now and waiting for more parts to come in

Will be painting it this color, maybe with a two tone but not sure yet

I'm in...been wanting to build a Hilux bodied mini truck but dont know where to start far as suspension...really want a scale with solid axle in rear...figured I could link it then use a winch to suck "down" to lay rear out..but only idea I had.
I'd just use it as a static drop too....but rather be nice to scale it as a bagger.

Anybody know a good chassis to use for a TF2 body? I'd build a Tundra truck too....

For that you might as well build a chassis from scratch... Take a front end from something that will fit under the body and use a mini losi crawler rear axle for the rear and you can use servos with the shocks attached to the servo arm and suspension I had a tundra too that I gave up o because I was try to do real air suspension with rear air bags but could never get it right in 5 years of trying

You can probably use the same chassis I'm using just cut the front off and have a losi mini crawler axle

Size: 69.1 KB I have some wheels picked out but until I set up the suspension I won't know what will fit. I'm hoping that I'll be able to use these wheels Offsets will be 3mm front and the most offset I can get for the rear, the have an 11mm ones so I'm hoping for those Name: image-2988367390.jpg

Got all the tie rods put together, in place and adjusted
The rear 18r arms installed

Also put together and setup the mip axles for the rear.
I had the 18t mip axles in it already and had ordered the 18r ones for the rear but ended up putting the short axle with the long axle stub on the rear to fit the hex's

Next I messed with the front hex's to narrow the front as much as possible. I ended up using mini8 hexes that fit the axle perfect, I also noticed that I could put the short axle stubs on the front so I don't have to use washers behind the wheel nut

Then just a couple pics of the whole truck

I still had the servo mounts from the last truck so I mounted them up, next I made some body mounts and mounted them to the shock towers

Made a bearing holder for the end of the drive shaft to make it 2wd instead of trying to find a way to stretch the shaft

Was finally able to order the wheels and tires and the servos for the front suspension
While I'm waiting for parts I decided to make an interior for it

Check out "microairsuspension" on Instagram. He has built a full airride kit for model cars and trucks has video on instagram also. Will be small on a 1/10 scale but shouldn't be to hard to make some bigger bags.
