Looking forward to more of this build. Kudos
Than you Sir, no Im not a cabinet maker this was my first try at building any kind of cabinet, im using the garage as a test/ practice for building a window seat and entertainment cabinet for the living room. A lot to learn , but im loving the lathe so far!

It must be so satisfying to finally be able to turn your own custom parts.
I do plan to use the cab, wheels and tires from the toy all will be modified a bit to work.

And a small update

Added a step to each of the inner axle tubes it will hold a bearing for support at the wheel.

Im not sure if I will use the HPI reduction unit but it does look cool on there!

still need to add a bearing to the inside of the axle tubes and drill the mounting holes in the outer flange.

Ok started working on the front wheel as I have now finished up the rear aside from a few set screws.

Im going to use some RC4WD hex adapters from a set of steel wheels and then make some adapters that they will bolt to then both pieces will bolt to the wheels. I will then make a axle nut that looks like the 1:1's hub.

anyways onto the pics

had to remove all the webbing

after using the milling bit on it

cleaned up the outside of the wheel as well

Finished the front wheel hubs and mounted the wheels up man its getting close to a test run! I just need to raise the front axle up and make a front driveshaft and steering then its a runner.

This thing will be so much fun to run!

I have been thinking about using the Fergelli actuators but the square bodies are making it hard for me to pull the trigger. If anyone has any of the small Fergelli's and are interested in parting with them please get ahold of me.

Thanks for looking I hope to have you all a video soon!

I would really like to see an update on this, as well as more information on what that rear-end is and where one could be gotten. I have been wanting to build a 1/10 scale representation of the garden-sized 1971 Cub Cadet I own, but haven't even bothered to try yet because I have no idea what to use for motor, gearbox, and differential, and yes, I want to have a diff in it . . .

The rear end is from a Revo and they are on Ebay real cheap.

No updates, I have been trying to figure out what to do for the cylinders. If work picks up again I will just pull the trigger and go with full hydro.
