Default Szczerba's Cajun Commander Airboat

Been wanting one of these since they were released. They sold out online super fast. I was able to pick up one a few weeks ago while traveling.
50amp ESC and 1800kv outrunner (air cooled only on this boat) are out of the Wildcat EP boat from Aquacraft.

Boat is really big, probably 1/8ish scale. 24" x 14" And only ~$289 ARTR.

Dog likes

Lights on 2AA

Stick on weight to see if it reduces some hopping. Seemed like it did help, may add another stick on next run.

Looks like it runs real good, put some wings on it, it could be a flying boat. I know you're putting weight up front, but I wonder if you put a couple scale hunters on it, if it would give you that extra weight you're looking for?

I am searching for some 8-9" figures to put up front. Having trouble finding something I like that is that size, cool looking and not over $25 or so.

Saw this one on a youtube video. Size is decent but may be a touch heavy, dunno. Seemed to run ok in their videos. . Asked the poster of the brand/size.

Got side-tracked from other R/C work and made a trailer need to make the hitch and fenders.

Copied the Dinky RC mount setup but made it for tandems.

Tis, Tis. I've somewhat tried to flip this boat and haven't yet. I am sure I could but it's pretty darn stable.

I remember seeing the smaller versions of these. 1/8 scale is huge. Looks like fun.

Nah, 4s on this stock setup is right on the edge of too much. Most say the 1800kv is too much to start with.

Seems to handle corners better than I thought an air boat would, doesn't slide.

Three angled smooth molded 3/8" at back runners on the hull that give it some side bite. See second picture. About the same width as air rudders. Tough to see with the camo paint.

How many mAh was the 4S? That thing looks awesome! I'm tempted to buy one, add a V to the hull along with some more weight, and run 5S.
- If I were to actually do that, what would be a suitable prop, motor, and ESC?

I really, really think I need a toy boat!

I think the stock 50amp ESC is done. Wont arm anymore after 5 outings.

I plan on buying a Traxxas ET-3S (MMP clone) for $67, waterproofing and hacking it with castle software for the 6s. Keep the same motor and prop. Or the Holmes Hobbies BLE ESC.

I am not sure on the prop or motor you would need. Not that versed in prop setups.

Trailer work

Thanks guys. Just started hacking and welding stuff together.

Got the BLE installed and made a few laps. Now I dont know how long this stock motor will hold up on 3s or 4s.

Some speed holes
