I'm wondering how much cutting on the body the Pit Bull Growlers would need

Thanks Bertone They are RC4WD raw steel landie rims and I simply clear coated them. The tires are also made by RC4WD and they are the 1.55 MTZs. A bunch of guys in here are running the 1.55 MTZs and really like them, that's why I went with them, they feel great.

1.9 growlers? You'd have to cut away a LOT!

1.55 Growlers (4.19 OD) MTZ are 3.30, so I gues they would not fit that easily.

I was wondering about clearing the bare metal vs painting them silver, aluminum, or argent then clearing them. How much clear did you use, I was debating about a whole small spray can, or at least half of one.

All I used was one heavy coat of krylon Matte. I'm sure as I use them they will scratch and rust some, but I'm ok with that.

I just got myself this kit. Built it and got it running with a 55t motor and it is pretty fun just like my CC-01. I do wish to uograde the shocks. Anyone have recommendations? I want to purchase a set hopefully under 50 U.S. dollars. Thanks! Pics to come soon

I bought these shocks for mine.

Yeah Racing DSG 0055gm Shock Gear 55mm Damper Set for 1 10 Touring Car Gun Metal | eBay

They are a direct replacement, come in orange and blue if you like that, and even the factory springs fit them. I wish the factory springs were way softer though. These little Jimnys have almost zero flex.

I'm still trying to find suitable springs for mine, I even bought some soft Associated 6493 brown front buggy springs, and they were still too stiff. We need something comparable to the Telluride springs, mine has as much flex as a box stock G6 SCX10 and all I've done is reposition the stock shocks and put shallow offset SCT beadlocks on it to narrow it up some.

Has anybody tried the springs Axial has for their dual rate scaler shock set up? We have a set of the short Softs at work, but they still seem too stiff, the longer Super Softs are available, but those seem like they might even be too long (40mm) for the Tamiya red ano'd sedan shocks I'm using.

I ordered up a pair of these today, should have them by Wed.

Here come's another Jimny from the Netherlands.

The wheels i order for the Jimny are:
Stamped steel 1.55 Beadlock wheel + Dirt Grabber all terraine tires

Also an interieur from Tamiya with Printed head of Shapeways.

Also there are some accocoires from shapway as bullbar, sidbars and roofrails.

Now i am waiting for the solid diffs, ball bearings and soft springs and then the project will start.

I'm trying to decide which tires I want for mine the dirt grabbers or the mtz's it looks good with either ones I tried craming 1.5 thrashers under it but I just couldn't do it

The most tires are to big for this little car, bigger than 80mm it is not scale. The Dirt Grabber is 76mm. The most RC4WD tires are bigger than 90.
