been wanting this thing since i was like 16.... ha! ...been while .. im 34 now... lovin it.... cant figure what body to put on it...

handles niiiiccclely too

after nearly ruining it from my eagerness to drive it...i got it back together with the bearings...running a brushed setup...and i honestly cant figure out why people cry about tuning ball diffs...

Took a while to post an update....ran a 27turn brushed motor up until friday....put in a brushless system in and cooked the wheels front and back in one pack

For the most part with the brushless system in this ride with no suspension its a handful... it's very jerky, needs a littlr less grip and 2s is definitely too much power(i see why most pan cars are run on 1s) i will leave 2s in though. I will maybe go to the hardware store and pick up some metal washers so that i can lessen the twitch by adding flex...and possibly find some softer springs for the front... Body wise...i need more downforce(another porsche is in mind). And it corners so fast it flips!!! So less grip in the front could be another factor... Its going to be an interesting experience with tire choice on this one

Another thing I've noticed is that my economic servo is too good...it's a futaba...but its not a sport...sooo i guess I'll have to get an even cheaper one bc even with my expo turned all the way down its too fast... This thing weighs in at less than a half pound with wheels and tires..minus electronics!

This build has not been abandoned either...it will be updated in some months to come....this has been my first experience with a ball diff and a pan car....ive learned a lot...i took out the brushless sustem and put a hotter turn brushed motor in it and believe it or not it goes like 50mph with a 6cell nimh.

I purchased crc world gtr
pre-mounts for it...bad idea for concrete...if you are going to be running on concrete or asphalt you need to buy the unmounted rears bc the sidewalls have not been shaved...you need the sidewall lip to stop the bead from being cut from cornering....

As i said here are some pics!

The wheels have a narrower offset tan i want so i'll be get other Better ones...as you can tell it has been converted into a dragster.. The current brushed motor is only capable of 2s power...after some testing i will probably upgrade it..

seems like you would want to mount the battery under the mid plate like most people do to lower the cg not flip the whole chassis and still run the battery on top

seems that you are not aware that you assembled the side plates upside down which in turn mounts the front axle, battery, motor, and rear axle higher from the ground so please dont claim your ...its for lower lcg... bs

Build it stock yourself...study it closely...as i have been doing and you will notice the battery in fact does sit lower...

I run the battery under the mid plate on mine. you need a better drag strip/ place to run if your that concerned about your battery getting messed up
