I did the Proline Pro-Trac kit on my 2wd slash, rebuilt the shocks, gear box and made sure everything was in good shape. It soaks up the bumps in a great fashion. The kit offers longer front and rear arms, new wheels with a different off set, and all of the susp. links. IMO, this is a great set up. More stable since the track width is wider. I also have the sag set so the arms are parallel to the ground.

with the ultimate the best upgrades in my book are a motor mount if your running 3s, and MIPs with 17mm hexes and buggy wheel

In addition to the aforementioned motor mount, look at an aluminum bearing adapter for the slipper. The plastic ones are know to deform and chew up spur gears. A good selection of shock oils and springs can be handy to help you tune the truck to the terrain you are running it on. The #1 upgrade is the appropriate tires for the surface you are running on. When you say off road, do you mean an off road track? Grass? Sand? Dirt and mud? Let us know what surface (or surfaces) you have in mind and maybe we can help you to not have to buy a bunch of tires and experiment. Welcome to the forum!
