The RWD TT02 is on, it cost me close to $90 for parts from RcMart and Ebay I got the tie rod set, adjustable front and rear upper arms, steering knuckles and a cheap set of the lower front shock mounts and the Wide angle steering arms came from EBay I'm going to lock the rear diff my self, I almost bought a alloy motor mount, I will if I need one, same with the lower front and lower rear A arms, I looked at 2' degree or 3' degree rear uprights Not sure if I need them cause I bought the adjustable rear upper, So I can adjust them to get the 2' or 3' degree angle, Correct ?? Nice!!! Cant wait to see those goodies installed! To answer your question, yes awd can drift with both diffs locked. No counter steer really. Its odd but tats how we did in 2007 before gyros lol! Thats how both my cars are setup now. Great for learning basics, then step up to rwd with gyro. |

Yes Sir Since I'm going RWD, I'm thinking an old school truck body is the shiznit, and I'm really loving this Vaterra 72' Chevy C-10 body, it has a 256mm wheelbase, comes pre-painted and with a realistic grill and front bumper, they also sell a unpainted version If I could find someone to paint it for me, that would be bad ass, cause I have always loved old school Chevy trucks and maybe throw some flames on it or some modern Tribal design, something that ketches the eyes and makes it stand out as you go Drifting by Baby !! I love the idea of dift trucks. Rc drift version of roadkills muscle truck would be bada5$. As for paint, i might know a guy... Scroll down to post #176 Codyboy Design: 1972 Chevrolet K10 Pickup Ascender Or heck, if you want to do the roadkill muscle truck, i could probably do it. Just for the fun of it. Just send me the body, paint, and trust ;) Not sure where to get a step side bed for a 74 c10, but a clodbuster body just might fit a tt02 like a glove? Hey Shinchu I like the input Brother and instantly thought about a Clod Buster body cause its a old school Chevy, and have seen them with step side beds, it won't work though cause the Clod Buster has a 270 mm wheel base and you can't cut out 13 mm's of the body It wouldn't look right, so its back to looking for truck bodies Last edited by kgb424; 10-01-2017 at 10:10 AM. |

Did some interweb research... Parma made a lexan chevy stepside, but its... a bit homely. And hard to find. Even harder to to find and slightly better looking is lexan kyosho. Best looking option after finding a dead thread here, somebody found a chevy stepside hardbody on ebay. Said they were going to mold copies and they would match up perfectly to a clodbuster cab. That was in 2015. I replied and made a zombie thread, back from the dead lol Wait and see... |

Hey Shinchu I know there is a Gay Toys 74 Chevy Step side but can't find the wheelbase, I thought there was a build on here, but don't remember the title, it might of have been in the 1.9'' build section I just looked on line and found one picture of it, I'm not finding much at all there is not a lot 10'' or 257 mm truck bodies there either too small or to large of wheelbase and there are no step sides Last edited by kgb424; 10-01-2017 at 03:31 PM. |

I like this Yoter I found its a Street Jam Toyota pickup with a 260 mm wheelbase, I do not think they are available anymore, I used to own a 82 2WD pickup and currently own 87 FWD, so the love for the Yoter is there My Dad had a 74 that was lifted with oversized tires when I was in Elementary school and remember I had to climb up and down to get in and out of it, So the love for old Chevy's is also there Its now coming down to what's available with a close wheelbase, like the looks of a 70's Chevy Last edited by kgb424; 10-01-2017 at 07:26 PM. |

I should ordered all of my parts from places from California, cause I already got and installed the wide angle steering arms, you got to trim the chassis a little to add clearance, everything else is coming from RCMart so they might be a while

Be careful if you get the Vaterra body. I'm pretty sure all Vaterra bodies come with the body post holes pre-drilled even on the clear bodies. That is a total bummer.

oh that does suck. non-issue if you give it a drop bed in the rear, but the front... yikes. you could patch it with that nifty IR pen they used on one of GCM's vids, then sand/paint the outside. i would have painted the outside of a roadkill truck anyway. damn that's so cool maybe i will do it hahaha I've been sketching up ideas for a custom RWD multi-car chassis with a solid rear axle on 4 links and independent front... muahahahaaaa!!! |

Hey Shinchu I think I found the Chevy Step Side Kyosho truck body I'm kinda of like this cause its a step side truck with a 260mm wheelbase its a Vintage Cox Kyosho Sidewinder And the grill looks like a Chevy, maybe I can put a different grill in and cut the lights off the roof its $30.00 for the body and $10 for shipping, its a option Last edited by kgb424; 10-04-2017 at 10:17 AM. |

I got the Subaru STI WRX body today from a member on Tamiyaclub.com and I like it, but its not a 2WD drive car, going to use it until I find a truck body

Watching the opening night of Hockey waiting for my Favorite NHL Team the San Jose Sharks and Philadelphia Flyers which is on after the Pittsburg Penguins and the Saint Louis Blues I mounted the motor and I'm glad I picked a black motor, I got a e-mail from rcMart saying my TT02 parts are in the US and with Customs and could take 10 days to process, hope it's faster than that Still pretty fast from China |

I say pull the trigger on that stepside body! grill reminds me of GMC but its a decal swap away from being a chevy lol yeah trim the lights off and maybe use that light pen fix I mentioned earlier. I would probably cut the bumpers off and get metal ones or even scratch build from stacking sheets of styrene like popsicle sticks and trimming it. go for it! suby looks good for now ;) |

I have not decided yet, but I did some looking and found these on Shapeways a round headlight Chevy grill and a round headlight GMC grill, the First 2 are for a Clod buster And the last 2 are the RC4WD GMC and Chevy Blazer, the GMC one, I can't find the light buckets, not sure if any of them would work, would need the body and Grill dimensions to measure everything out an see if the spacing is correct Last edited by kgb424; 10-05-2017 at 12:04 PM. |

Ok I'm confused, how are they using a IR pen with a Lexan body to repair it cause I looked at IR pens and the ones I seen where nothing more than laser pointers, then tried to find GCM video of them using it and came up with nothing Am I missing something, I know they can weld plastic and have been able to for years, but not thin Lexan, are they using the laser |

Changing Directions I looked thru my parts pile and I found a Shit load of extra Toyota parts, and seriously thinking about, using the Tamiya Hilux body set with the round head lighted grill and the Hilux bed cause, it's not a drop bed like the RC4WD bed is, So I you might not have to cut out the bed to drop the body low, like you have to with the RC4WD bed, I got an extra RC4WD cab back that I can cut to make the just the window piece, for the Hilux or RC4WD bed Need to look at extending the TT02 chassis and see what I can come up with Last edited by kgb424; 10-05-2017 at 07:37 PM. |

| Re: My new TT02 Chassis kit
I found this picture where some one took a TT01 chassis and lengthened it, not sure what body they were using, it looks like a simple way to lengthen the chassis cause I have RC4WD Mojave body on my GCM 4 Ten Chassis with leaf springs So I can take the body off but would need the Hilux bed so it drops over the rear shock tower, I can get a close measurement but not dead on,like if I had the Hilux bed or cut up a RC4WD bed I do have a RC4WD bed that matches the cab on my Yoter Truggy, I beat it up and weathered it and really don't want too cut it up cause I want to keep it I was thinking about using the beat up cab and bed for the drift truck but I cut the front fenders and the bottom of grill off so it wouldn't right, like a cab with uncut fenders and the front bumper So I need a new cab and a Hilux bed, so I can to take some accurate measurements, to cut the chassis and lengthen it Last edited by kgb424; 10-06-2017 at 09:29 PM. |
