Default Girlfriend’s Blackfoot.

With me playing with my old Tamiyas and looking into 4wd lately my girl subtly mentioned that she might also like a car. Dropped words like big wheels and better than yours, lol.

I found two Blackfoot Extreme complete rollers soon afterwards and started building with the best looking parts between the two. I had to soak the plastic in dishwasher solution for a couple of days and then still had to scrub my ass off to get all the muck off them.

Chassis came with sport tuned motors, teu101’s and 27mhz radios. Radios went in the bin and the rest also got a bit of love.

How I got the lot:

Cleaned up and almost ready to roll:

Could not fit the original tires again, they’re horrible, so this happened:

Truck looks like this for now, just gonna add some pin stripes:

Waiting for some shock towers to get cut still. Fitting CVA’s on it. Then a bec and a radio and shes ready to hit the dirt!

Nice! WT-01 chassis is actually pretty decent. The gearbox can handle brushless power. I've got a 10.5T brushless running in my VW Amarok WT-01.

It is. The only things I had to do with this chassis was get the higher alloy shock towers so that I could stick better shocks on it.

And she lives. The body is seriously heavy. Poor CVA’s are struggling. Made an adaption till I find some springs to carry the weight.

Laser guys did a brilliant job with my towers.

My Fighter Buggy RX borrowed its radio for now...

Thought this was some kinda... fetish thing. But... its not. Its uh... way cooler!!!

My wife wanted to drift with me back in the day. Got her a used tc3 and she would go with me and do donuts and she had fun but she wasnt that into it. She hasnt tried offroad yet, but i think she would dig it more than drifting. My 9 year old son loves both haha

Super cool your girl asked for a truck! And she got a cool one! I might still have my vintage blackfoot at my moms house somewhere...

Thanks!
She wanted something big. That seems like it fits the spec thus far. Had it out on the field opposite my house tonight. Its solidly planted in a straight line. Huge body roll in corners. But thats the idea. It looks cool when running. The speed is also just fine as it is. Any faster could be dangerous....

Will snap some pics when we hit a trail again.

And this gearbox is so quiet! My other Tamiyas are loud compared to this.

Shes getting the hang of it. A couple of trips down the forest and she’ll be sorted.

Had the a run on a trail earlier today. BF got some Cliff Crawlers and CW01 Springs on the shocks.

Picked up a TGM-02 spring set today. Ride is stiffer and feels better when running it hard over rough surfaces.
