Kyosho Javelin re-release

Anyone picked one of these up? Remember seeing them when i was younger and always wanted one. No tracks or anything in my area but debating on picking one up to build. Curious if anyone has had the old one or the new one... kit quality and if it's worth it for a fun little basher.

Apparentlt with this new kit, things have been built up and it is able to handle brushless as well. What are your thoughts? Brushed or brushless if i do pick one up?

The Kyosho Re-Releases seem to be really good on quality with upgraded parts over the older vintage. They will handle like an 80's era car though, so not sure what you expect. To me... they're just too pretty to run, and all of mine are probably going to be built for shelf queen status.

Never owned the older vintage stuff like that. Not sure what the performance would be like. Really looking at it for the enjoyment of the build and to be able to let my son use it when he gets old enough.

A little bit expensive to be bought as a shelf queen.

Performance wise and value wise would you suggest something else over it? Looking for it as a learning model and to use as a backyard basher/fun toy. My son is still way to young so it would need some fun factor for me until i can teach him about all of the mechanical aspects.
