Tamiya tt-02rr chassis kit

I've got a TT-02R... I need to check later to see what the differences are between the R and the RR.

This looks like it has the TT-02 Type S suspension which comes from another Tamiya model of which I can't currently recall the name.

YES!!!
this was mentioned a while ago (jato?) And this is oir first time seeing it... And I like it!

Looks lile the front knuckles have no uprights, like most rwd drifters these days. The knuckle has a ball at the top and fits into that oversized rod end of an upper arm that looks to slide in and out for camber adjustment... And maybe... MAYBE even caster???
If so this is the most adjustable tt0x chassis EVER!

in summary: WANT.

Re: Tamiya tt-02rr chassis kit

It's quite different in the suspension department from the Type R and the Type S. The R just had a few hop ups, the S had a racing suspension from their pro level cars grafted on - a bit sloppily I've read.

This has a new TT02 specific suspension design. Sorely needed I might add. Though what's with the funky camber adjustment? As usual with Tamiya, seems way more complicated than it needs to be. I'm sure it works fine though.

Not to mention those sealed diffs. Those should be a drop in for any TT chassis... Sweet!!

Nice, but not enough to upgrade from my Type S. Might have to track down the diff kits though.

Probably need the YR arms to use the YR knuckles since they developed this angle kit for the regular tt02.

All I really want to know is when will this TT02RR be available and for how much.

Maybe me for a winter project. I don't have a TT-02 yet. But I do have a TT-01E semi. The chassis is built, but it isn't finished because I dread painting the body. :lmao:

I just picked up a TT-02 white edition kit. Built it with the short wheelbase, high clearance setup and going to drop a Subaru Brat body on it for a proper 4wd Brat... but much like Jato, I’m afraid to paint the the body. Don’t want it to end up looking like a 4 year old painted it...

The white kit looks awesome.

:lmao: I think I've advanced to a 5 year old painting level on occasion. LOL Getting somebody else to do it is expensive!

My bro bought the rr when it first got released. He likes it a lot better then the r.
We started out running the owners at that track where he purchased the r and rr. They ran us off. Sore losers.
Still run them ever so often depending on the track.
Now we run Shumacher cars and euro truck if enough show up. Euro truck is the most fun. We crash and wait on each other to get upright again.

Painted my Brat body and sure enough, looks.....
amateurish. Can’t post pics, but suffice to say the metal flake blue I had clogged up after about 3 passes, never to spray again. So a quick grab of whatever color happened to be on the shelf (dusty blue, not even a close match) finished it off. Hopefully the decals will hide much of the disaster.... sigh....
