I hope it’s a solid axle 4 link rear and not a 1/7 scale Senton. It would be really cool to see Arrma change from its usual chassis and drivetrain layout.

STANG KILLA SS just posted up this video in another thread: I see a full chassis plate under it so sadly no solid axle, its very likely just a new chassis plate and the same old parts from the Senton which is a good truck too but some variety would have been nice. The comment section on Youtube is full of fan boys raving about how amazing this is when they haven't been given any details just a bashing video, and it really looks like their same old formula of changing only the chassis plate and Re-using almost all of their buggy/Senton parts. Guys were also saying no solid axle because it would just break, Okay then.... slowly walks away. I'm sure it is a really fun and tough truck, its just not the 2nd coming of Christ like the comments make it out to be Last edited by HumboldtEF; 08-25-2019 at 01:49 PM. |

Cage required, may not be that easy. Kracken is 1/5, too large and its expensive. Who does a 1/7 buggy body anyhow??? Not talking a track buggy with some goofy bulldog body with a spoiler wing, rather a SCORE class 1 or BITD 1500 car. Keeping up with the TT crowd.

With the interior its probably the most scale Arrma to date. I keep seeing people say 'UDR killer', but i don't think its really a direct competitor to the UDR or even the SBR. It may be good for those that complained how fragile the UDR was trying to launch it over houses on 6S though. No doubt it will be a good basher, i've got a V3 Kraton that i have put through some serious abuse with minimal issues. I saw some comments from the Arrma guys basically saying if you want scale suspension, Losi already has that covered. If this was a solid rear i would have bought one. But a 1/7 scale SCT i have no interest in. I know the solid axle rigs aren't the best handling or most durable, but for me part of the fun is watching the suspension work. I will say Arrma stepped up the marketing (probably thanks to Horizon). Not on par with Traxxas yet, whomever did this one for the UDR deserves a raise... i bought one after seeing it lol. Eh it's an Arrma and they're just copying Traxxas again. Arrma rarely innovates an entirely new vehicle on their own and instead choose to make me-too products. The only people that are already saying this is a UDR killer are Arrma fanboys and that's the most loathsome group of individuals in all of RC. Arrma fanbois are like Harley fanbois. They think Arrma/Harley is the only real RC/motorcycle and it's laughable. |

Looks pretty cool, getting more scale-like in appearance and w0w it just handled the bumps! Last edited by Natedog; 09-06-2019 at 04:45 PM. |

Is anything besides the chassis plate aluminum? I'm hoping the shock mounts are aluminum at least. And it's IFS all the way around which is a deal breaker in this category IMO. The price undercuts the Traxxas, but not by much. With all of the scale details and solid rear axle I'd pay a little more for the UDR. |

I'm sure it's a ton of fun to drive, but yeah... not really what I'm looking for as it's not really scale. I do want a 1/10 UDR though. Not really a fan of the way the Baja Rey looks.

I’m still going to get one I love my SC8e but I tend to baby it cause I don’t want to tear it up and this should be something I could beat on as for the UDR it’s an amazing truck and great fun to drive I wouldn’t change a thing on mine I remember before it came out everybody wanted a super scale trophy truck and now people complain about it not being durable or what not just drive it as Scale as possible I haven’t broken anything on mine , the Losi Baja Rey raptor is nice I got the blue one.

1) Pricepoint- if it were $60 or more cheaper, I may agree. No licensed items that I noticed on this truck. 2) Scale- I personally don't see the larger scale stuff running like the Slash 4x, Losi... SCT trucks. (I'm doing a scratch build this size, not sure where I will drive it being it is so much larger than lets say a Bomber.) Maybe that is popular outside of Cali?????? To their benefit, those looking for a larger scale basher are in luck, no soild axle to contend with. Ought to be interesting if the speedster crowd takes a liking to them as well. | |
