Nice did you get it from Horizon? I haven't seen them pop up anywhere else yet.

Yeah. Preordered via horizon early on. I like it. Certainly cheaper brushless options, but its clean and zero cog at all. Can still drive in house

Well I'll be darned! Kinda wish I hadn't bought mine yet.

It's up for preorder: https://www.horizonhobby.com/mini-t-...ition-los01017

Cool so they include a few upgrades like the aluminum shocks and the brushless motor/esc. The price is fair, the shocks and motor would cost $110 separately and the price only went up $110.

$250 is a bit hard to justify given the size of this thing though I'll probably end up with close to that much poured into mine lol

The retro paint job is delightful, well done Losi.

I wouldn't mind a set of those ribs and step pins on my 2.0 for some good old dirt slinging action.

I like the paint as well, but pins and ribs FTW!

I guess you know you're getting old when nostalgia starts taking over.

Might be in the minority in preferring the bk tires. Although the receiver is interesting. Hadn't seen that offered for stock radio going brushless.

I'm not sure how old you are, but I think the pin spikes have a place in our nostalgic hearts for us old guys.

Old enough to have been actively in RC since the years started with 19xx. I merely prefer then from a functional standpoint.

I picked up some of the new spiked tires and the grooved fronts and they are both a bit larger. The spiked rears are 6mm larger and the front grooved tires are 2mm bigger.

I haven't driven them yet but I'm hoping they're better on grass.

I think its a good thing, a tiny bit more clearance should be helpful as its easy to get stuck if you're driving on less than ideal surfaces.

I finished up the paint on a tribute build of one of my fathers old trucks the Toyota Stout (Carisma Coyote, the mini version). It was green, a bit unreliable and nicknamed the "Booger"

I sent my dad a picture and he said its much better paint than his was so I'll give it a bit of weathering. luckily I painted the outside of the body so weathering it will be easy.
Its been a challenge getting info from my dad on this truck on how to paint it. I dont think he owned it too long and that was many moons ago. I had to ask many times "is it like this green or this green, was it old and pitted paint" and so on, still didn't get the best intel lol

I made some new shock towers to get the body a bit lower, I could have gone farther but I didn't want to lay down the shocks too much and deviate too far from the stock geometry. I also shifted the rear shocks to the front side of the tower so at least the shocks come out in the wheel well.

Oh and I'm running the new tires from the 40th anniversary version.

Does anyone have a solution for the extremely sloppy servo-saver? I've chewed gum that was stiffer than the servo-saver on my MT2.0

This thing just took me back to 2003!

God bless technology - Kicked the crap outta it 1st pack and zero damage.
Stock brushless/lipo is a bit overpowered. Have to feather the throttle to keep the front wheels on the ground.
Looking forward to taking it to the track and seeing its full potential.

Just picked up a 40th anniversary version. Man this thing is fast for its size! What can I expect to break first? Any suggestions on parts to buy now?

Thanks!

Hey, I noticed you put a slower servo in yours. I believe that savox model is .13 @6V where as the stock ones specs show .08 @ 6v speed.

Do you notice the servo speed difference? Only asking because I have one laying around and Im not sure if I want to mod it just to do so or not.

Thanks!
