That's awesome!

What is a "scale reflex magnet kit"?

Thank you very much Jato!

Over priced, but good body magnets.

https://www.hobbytown.com/scale-refl...888100/p978170

I had amazon body magnets, but they went ontop of each body post. So I had to tape the body magnet over the precut holes on the body since thats where the magnets attached.

This kit has two end bar that move the magnets to the trunk area so you can mount the body magnets in the trunk area of the body, leaving the rear window free of magnets in the window.

Both of your GTRs look great but the green one is striking no question.

Thank you very much. Truth be told, the blue one is MST RTR 190MM R34 body. I didnt paint it. They did.

And the champagne green one is 195MM wide and prepainted by Killerbodies. I just saw it and had to get the green one. It was too nice and pretty cheap too! 45 bucks! Not bad!

YEa I wasnt too happy buying That. I just wanted those two metal bars that hold the magnets upright off the back rear shock bar since adding magnets to the back window looked funny to me.

Worst part was, even after paying for that kit, I needed longer rear screws to adjust the magnet height.

The only cool part about that kit is the bullet tips. Those look cool on the front posts and lay nice in the recessed magnet middles attached to the body.

Well I tinted my windows (too dark), added the “attack” led controller and have been chewing through wheels practicing. Im also working on setting up boost and turbo functions. I find that I can control this much easier just leaving boost and turbo OFF. But I sure do like how it sounds when the motor is boosted. I have the wifi module which makes tuning very quick and easy to do. But figuring out when to let boost kick in is not as easy as it sounds. Turbo is on top of boost makes it even harder to figure out. But trying new settings and seeing how it drives is fun.

Need some help from the drifters!

So my MST RMX is stock spec setup. I DO HOWEVER have the upgraded all metal MST shocks. I used the springs the plastic shocks came with on the new metal shocks (the metal ones came with same springs so I keep them for spares). All shocks are installed per the setup sheet. However, my front end shocks seem very VERY soft.

As you will see in this video. If I press down, the front end barely raises up when NOT MOVING. When moving, the front end levels out normally. If I gas hard, I can see the front end lift up (the fender gap gets bigger). The rear end seems to work like normal and only slightly moves. So no issues there.

But up front, Im not sure if this is normal or not. Im wondering if my front springs are too soft. As I mentioned, I did upgrade the shocks and I suspect the shock piston drag is much higher than the plastic set. Perhaps my front springs are too soft for these all metal shock bodies?

Or is this normal for RWD drifters?

Video of what Im talking about:

I'm running a ball diff but its not far from being locked.

I've got pretty heavy springs in the front and softer in the rear. My 2wd car is still developing while my older 4wd is car is more dialed in and much more friendly to drive. I've got a few more changes made to my 2wd just waiting for the snow to melt.

Thank you. I thought I had a ball diff. But according to the setup sheet, it appears I have a spool after all. At least this seems to say I have a spool. But I could have sworn someone told me, or I read that all RTR kits come with a ball diff.

Well, whatever it is, works fine. I was more worried about changing whatever I had to the pretty red spool diff I bought for what appears NO reason...

Also, I spoke with another MST RMX owner and his acts exactly like mine does up font. Hardly any rebound unless moving UP FRONT. The rear seems to rebound moving or static. But the front seems to not rebound as much unless its moving. Guess that's normal for MST RMX RTR. Not sure if thats ideal of not in drifting. But at least I know Im not the only one with a stock setup that acts the same way.

I have an older FMX-D and my front end rebounds but with a heavier spring than stock. My 4wd car with a front motor location doesn't rebound unless its accelerating.

Thank you. I actually ordered some new stiffer springs to try up front. I might as well try them all and see what works for me.

There are no active drift forums anymore so thank you for your input! Much appreciated!

Yes!

The blue r34 body is skinnier than the killer body green one.

Blue = 195mm and came with 3mm offset.

Green = 200mm killer body fits 5-7mm offset.

Best suggestion is to get a set of mst wheels with changeable offset. That way you can choose what looks best for how you set it up.

With lots of camber 5mm fits for it the blue body. But I don’t like rear camber. Just chews up my tires too fast on my driveway. So it kind of depends on how you set yours up.

He’s a video of how they work, you yet like 3-4 choices.

I'm getting the MST RMX 2.0 thanks to you and OSRC's thread on them
I ordered the kit from Super G in LA so hopefully it will be here in this coming or next week and I will try to do a build thread on it too.
