Default Motor options for a larger build

So, I have a thread going up in the XTM Section - Not a lot of action up there, so I thought I would pose the question down here...

My Thread in the XTM Section

This rig is going to be closer to the X-Maxx size when done.

So, I picked up a Holmes Puller Pro 3500Kv and Mamba Monster X ESC from a member here.

I'll probably use the Mamba on this build, but after speaking to Holmes, I'll be looking for a bigger, lower Kv motor.

Something more like the 1/8 Puller Pro 4274 1900Kv, not sure on the "Punchy" or "Smooth" yet.

Any other viable options out there that wont break the bank and still give good performance?
The $160 for the puller Pro is about my upper limit.

I know TenShock has budget motors that people rave about. I believe they are all sensorless, but that's not going to matter much if it's not a crawler.

Thanks Jato, those don’t look like a bad option to try anyway.

If I go that route, probably try the 1550Kv.
I’ve got plenty of time before I need to order.

Does going sensorless only affect The ability to have a slow/controlled start up and crawling?

You're welcome.

Yes, sensorless is noticeable at slow speeds and start up.
