DR10 Kit! $199 1 Attachment(s) Subject says it all. Kinda wish I waited a couple weeks now. Haven’t dug into details yet https://www.associatedelectrics.com/...Wka2oKbxbIjSIA |
Re: DR10 Kit! $199 Looks like it's a new "Team" Kit model. It does not include a body or wheels, though it sounds like it should include tires. I would assume being a "team" model would mean that its getting some upgrades but I don't see any mention of that. They're all out of stock though, even the RTR's at least on AE's site. |
Re: DR10 Kit! $199 The rear anti roll bar isn’t on the rtr. Wheelie bar may be a little different, seems like it has optional wheels. If I’m not mistaken it does include the wheels. -Three-position wheelie bar with optional large wheels -Lightweight drag race inspired wheels That’s about all I see though. Overall not a bad package for $199 I suppose. Looking back at paying $140 more for the rtr and I’ve since ditched the body, wheels/tires, motor/esc I kind of wish I was able to get one of these. :ror: |
Re: DR10 Kit! $199 You're right it should include wheels, its right there at the top lol It does say it requires tires. https://i.imgur.com/CvBs6pY.png I re read through and spotted a few differences, a V2 externally adjustable slipper, CVA rear axles (seems like they already had those?) |
Re: DR10 Kit! $199 Definitely has CVA on the rtr. Apparently the wheelie bar is the same too after reading that listing. Externally adjustable slipper. I like that! |

To me it looks the same from the outside, a rubber plug is removed and you can access the slipper clutch nut. The V2 part makes it sound new though. It appears to be the same as my Trophy rat from the outside. |
Re: DR10 Kit! $199 Well... they keep making it harder to resist getting into the drag scene don't they? |
Re: DR10 Kit! $199 Are the shocks any different? Those were always upgraded in Factory Team kits on race vehicles. The shocks here appear to be similar to the RTR versions from the SC10, but I'm clueless about the DR10. Quote:

Re: DR10 Kit! $199 I think the shocks are the same as the rtr. Not threaded but not sure how big of a deal that is with these. Quote:

Re: DR10 Kit! $199 I think you’re right about the terminology. Not a whole lot of upgrades going on here but it’s a good price point at least I suppose. Quote:

Re: DR10 Kit! $199 Rick rolled, bringin back the classics lol RPP is showing an ETA of mid August https://www.rpphobby.com/product_p/asc70027.htm |
Re: DR10 Kit! $199 I got bit by this bug and pre-ordered my DR10 from AE last week. It shipped today, and I saw AMain has stock now too. Excited to try this out for a different class. Been enjoying rock crawling for over a year now and a little speed will be a nice mix up. Looks like 3S is the way to go, so researching some electronics now while I wait for the kit. |
Re: DR10 Kit! $199 May grab one of these. Getting parts to build a No Prep, but more along the lines we do things here. lol Decent price for a decent kit. Considering a used 2wd slash goes for that, then the conversion. |
Re: DR10 Kit! $199 I ordered one. The delivery estimate is tomorrow. Keeping my fingers crossed! You may want to check any local groups for their rules. It seems some only allow 2s for the competitions. Of course, if your not worried about that then have at it! |
Re: DR10 Kit! $199 Mine was supposed to be delivered yesterday.....late last night the status on USPS changed to "In transit, Arriving Late". Translation, we lost it! Sad thing is, I live like 40 miles from AE, so it did not have far to go. |
