Legendary Kyosho Off-Road Beetle kit Bought a 2014 2wd Kyosho Beetle #30614 from my LHS today. Got aware, that Himotos Baja Monster truck – that was my first rig - was nothing to work with. But I want to have a beetle! Thus I'm looking forward to this Kyosho kit, giving very good impressions with it's metal parts and obvious quality. Not being sure about the beetle's wheels, I ordered Kyosho‘s Turbo Scorpion wheels and soft tires to change. I'm pretty sure to get my CC MambaX underneath that cover, to power my CC slate with 2280 KV. Gesendet von meinem SM-G955F mit Tapatalk https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...700de0f1a4.jpg |
Re: Legendary Kyosho Off-Road Beetle kit Should be a fun runner, my Scorpion was a blast. Pics are huge, all I can see is the corner of the box. Should be 800x600 or so. |

Re: Legendary Kyosho Off-Road Beetle kit It's a not that new re-release. Kyosho updatet the parts obviously eith that. It's capable to run modern hard-case lipos. I tried that it fits in. In Japan these cars were celebrated a while ago: http://www.time-tunnel.jp/02/article..._custom07.html Gesendet von meinem SM-G955F mit Tapatalk |
Re: Legendary Kyosho Off-Road Beetle kit Finally I have brought a Mamba-X under the lid. HH's Pullerpro fits in as a stubby quiet well. With it's 2200 KV the car runs very, very fast on 3's: I measured 38 kmh, what coincides with rpm's measured and ratio. I assume there is no need for the coolingribs for the motor, I just had them lying around. The final issue spraying of the beetle body is going to be: I want to spray two colours separated by a 3 mm wide black line as I tryed on the internal cover. -- https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...50e2130a37.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...ef265ef7de.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...3447b3869a.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...67caa8b477.jpg Gesendet von meinem SM-G955F mit Tapatalk |
Re: Legendary Kyosho Off-Road Beetle kit Finished paintworks. Now I'm convinced: spraying three PS-colours by masking with curve tape, killerbody liquid mask and paper is skilled craftmanship. At the end it stays a toy and I learned something about filigreed work. Brushing the helmet and adding magnetic body fixtures instead of body clips will follow.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...dd876b71c2.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...654c4033c1.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...6668794711.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...2e1f778280.jpg Gesendet von meinem SM-G955F mit Tapatalk |
Re: Legendary Kyosho Off-Road Beetle kit The paint works looks striking contrast, beautiful! Looks more rad than yellow stock looks. "thumbsup" |
