Slash to rzr conversion

Here is a project Ive been tinkering with for the last month or so. Took my gen 1 slash and upgraded just about everything. Turned it into a scale-ish RZR side by side thanks to Jconcepts awesome side by side body. Used a ton if Proline, Traxxas, Specktrum, Boom Racing, Gmade& Rc4wd goodies to make this a reality. Wheels look odd at certain angles, but didn’t want to use 1.9 wheels. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...b7800a0b5e.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...86388831f7.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...610bce278a.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...6105c85b4f.jpg

After much thought. I realized that the MT tires were not only too small, but they really made the handling very tough. So without having to buy bigger wheels and tires, I found slightly larger 1.55 Irok SS. I must say, WOW. Not only are looks on point, but handling is insane. Sucker drifts on pavement and destroys dirt. Very impressed with the total build. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...da10113588.jpg

Looks a bit odd with the body up high, but that's easily fixed. Have you tried some 100mm 1.9 wheels to see what it looks like?

Yeah, slashes and soforth from traxxas accept other bodies well. I converted a stampede to 1/6 scale and put a new bright raptor on it.

Yeah I put my old trx4 tires on and it looked goofy. These new 1.55 fill the wells out better and still retAin a scale look.

Have you worked out what scale this would be? Technically it would be fairly "large" scale right?

I mean for 10th scale its too large for a “utv” so it probably would be in line with 1/6 cars in terms of actual size

Good call on the tires, looks better.
Very cool project! I have a slash I picked up used. Can't figure out why I didn't sooner! They are a blast and TUFF!

They are insanely tough!! This one has been through 3 bodies and most of the truck is still original.

That's the same body - "Truth" V2 - that I've been using on my Rustler 4x4 for the past few months...although, I haven't painted mine yet.

As for the tire size, if have to agree with gula...it looks too small. Kinda reminds me of those scooters that are designed to look like sport motorcycles, except that they still have those tiny scooter wheels & tires.

I found some other 1.55 tires, but i think I will eventually just go with 1.9 probuilds with class 0 tires .
