Default Finished* my Kyosho Outlaw Rampage build

FedEx is notoriously slow where I live, so I'm still waiting on the electronics but I couldn't wait to get to building this thing. I couldn't settle on any one paint scheme honestly. Had several URC stickers left over from an Arrma Infraction body I did last year, so I decided to make another URC tribute paint scheme. Nostalgia aside, it's just a fantastic color combo.

Awesome!

The JANG would be proud.

(I thought I was the only guy with a set of UltimateRC.com decal sheets...)

Shame that The Jang apparently lives in a part of SanFran that REALLY hates, hates, HATES people having fun, and is unable to 'do RC' anymore. He'd have JUMPED on this thing. By the by, be very precise with adjusting the slipper. The idler gears are made of butter and will strip far too easily on real high power. ( i.e. anything above a 3000kv 4-pole) and gearsets are only available as a full set.

I don't own one of these, but a Tamiya grasshopper, which is also moa, but holds up to high hp brushless just fine.

Different plastics and a wholly different gear pitch. Tamiya uses a high-grade glass-filled nylon, kyosho goes for Black nylon, which is a tad weaker. Kyosho’s often seem to explode their idlers. A problem that made its foray into 4wd F1 cars a bit of a flop. Those things had their gears out in the open. The results were predictable.

There’s a reason Kyosho uses mainly sintered metal gears in its ( more expensive) re-re’s
