These things are a must if you have snow where you live. I posted these before but here you go anyway. These are the newer versions. I like the Heavy Metal Van's, they are too cool, old school. I see the "drive" wheel is in the back on the older versions. How do they handle compared to the newer versions? Any way here are a couple shots of mine.

I personally think the older ones handle better. Unfortunatly they are just not very reliable, and parts are hard to come by. Plus it's a hell of a lot easier to upgrade the motor and electronics in the newer versions!

The electronics stay pretty dry. I took some thin foam tape and stuck it to all the spots that looked questionable. I also took black duct tape and covered all the seams on the chassis to keep out all I could. There is only one servo, an esc, a reciever and then the battery. I would balloon your reciever for sure. The servo no big deal and the esc, well get an AI one, they are waterproof.

Here is what I would reccomend to anyone looking...

Servo -Hitec 645 or equal

ESC - AI makes a good mild mod esc that is waterproof. Pick which ever suits your needs. The hotter motor you go the more problems steering you will get.

Battery - Bigger is better. I have been using some 5000 7.2 Lipo's lately and the run time is perfect. The snow needs a break when the battery is dead!

Overall I have 3 electrics now. The most fun is the one photoed above. It has a "Light Blue can" speed gems mod motor. 15 turn I think. I have one with a 7700 KV Mamba setup and it is TOO much. The second you go to turn it unloads on the one track and sinks in the snow to a high center point and you are done. Go get it and try again. Too much power isn't the best thing for a tracked vehicle.

Ultimate shows 2 electrics any idea what the diff is ? One is 45 more, so I assume it's not just the body. Got a link for the esc ? Not familiar with A1

You can fix that with really thick diff oil.

I think this one might be better. http://www.ultimatehobbies.com/istar...KYO30983B!1012

It has a more scale body and it states each wheel has suspension. The other model does not state anything about suspension. Of course I have no idea if suspension is even needed on a tracked vehicle.

Seeing as the Blizzards prefered enviroment is snow I think a list of waterproof esc's is warrented.

(15 turn limit)

Associated AI Quantum Runner Plus Reverse

Or heres a cheaper version (18 turn limit)

Associated AI Quantum Runner Reverse
