It has a more scale body and it states each wheel has suspension. The other model does not state anything about suspension. Of course I have no idea if suspension is even needed on a tracked vehicle.
The less expensive one does have a suspension for each wheel (minus the drive wheel in the upper front part of the truck).
I think the difference in price if really the body. I have the new Blizzard (cheaper version), and I priced out the new body with all the rails and such, it would be $80+ for that body.

Damn people with their static models... Oh well. Lol, I have been searchin on ebay, and the few online stores that sell them all have better prices than the ones on ebay. Man i gotta get one. I dont get snow at all, but man, those things sure look fun. There is alot of sand where I live, so maybe some little extensions to the paddles on the tracks, and I could take the thing to the dunes!

Has anyone ever driven theirs in sand/dirt/mud/ or anything other than the snow? If so, post up some pics!

Talked to a guy on another forum (he is a shop owner I think) that said the older version ($159 at Ultimate) will probably not be sold anymore. The new one ($209 at Ultimate) will be the only one avaialble. He also said it was a great price.

Ive been talking to a guy from making trax and he said the older ones have 5 wheels, drivewheels are better, original tracks are better on the old DXs, and the geartrain is a lil better (no clutch)

Here is the first shot of my new blizzard, I still need to put sticker & the plastic hardware on the body.

It has the stock motor in it for now, but that won't last long, it needs more speed. I think I'm putting a Mamba Max 4600kv in it.

The paint is Pactra "true blue pearl" rc293

The second you go to turn it unloads on the one track and sinks in the snow to a high center point and you are done. Go get it and try again. Too much power isn't the best thing for a tracked vehicle.

Even the high KV mamba is too much... stick with brushed, of tune down the BL motor alot...
