Default Tellico 9/5/08 - 9/7/08

A few of us are headed up to Tellico ORV for a crawl and camp weekend. We will be arriving Friday Sept. 5 and leaving Sept. 7. We will be staying at Tellico Cabins which is right inside Tellico trail area. There will be a comp on Saturday morning followed by some grilling, sitting by the fire and talking smack in the evening. Here are a few pics of the areas we will be crawling....

This event is non-club associated and all are welcome and encouraged. Please post up if you would be interested in a little get away for the weekend to do a little crawling. Here is a link to the cabins in which we will be lodging.

http://tellicocabins.com/4757/dsp_agent_page.php/20419 The cabins are really nice and IMO relatively inexpensive. Here are a few links..

The Grand Cherokee sleeps up to 10 guest

The ATV Den sleeps 6

The Lock-Em Inn Cabin sleeps 6

Fern Hollow sleeps 6

All of the cabins rent for the same amount $125 per night for the first two people and $10 for each additional person. So lets take The Grand Cherokee for example if we had 10 people it would be $205 per night which would break down to $20.50 per night per person. That isn't bad IMO for a nice, clean, cool cabin with a good shower and beds. I might could try to get us a group discount if we were to rent multiple cabins. I have stayed in two of these cabins before and they are really nice. Chuck and Helen are great as they have always left us alone when we are there. They aren't the nosy land owners that I am sure most of us have encountered.

Please let me know if you guys would like to come along and I will see what I can do to get us a group discount if we have enough to justify the request. I think this would be a great time for anyone interested. Thanks, Harold hlpressley@carolina.rr.com

I have to go to a wedding up in concord n.c. on sept.7th, so i will be about 3.5 hrs away, which is not bad. I possibly could make this not for sure though, if not it looks like I will miss a good time.

How are you going to get to the trails? Are y'all going to just run the ones right off of trail 1? Can you get to Lower 2 anymore? I still think there is hope to get the 1:1 rigs back on the trails one day!

A scaler comp at the pictured rock garden would be nuts.
